How’s it going for you so far??Yep its January….you have to feel sorry for it.Everyone moaping about,eating salad leaves(or in my Dukan case,FISH!FISH FLIPPING FISH),Dreading the arrival of yet another bill.

At Locklin towers the threat of a busy month filming Corporates in London and up North have lead to drastic diet action…(why is it easier to put on the lbs than take them off).

Mr C has joined in too,evenings are spent drooling over the kids tea…what potatoes,pasta??…..gimme gimme gimme!Then slinking off the munch on yet more veg…BUT  I have to admit something.

After nearly 30 years of being a fish eating veggie,I finally caved in and tore into a piece of roast chicken,and as Katy Perry would say”I kissed a chicken and I liked it”.(or something similar!)

Not only am I battling to squeeze into last years suits,I am in the process of re growing my hair into a bob(much to Mr C’s delight…the last haircut he said made me look like an extra from Tenko!).

Next week I am also off to record a voice over for a TV advert,and if you hear me then”I know what your watching!”hehehehehe.

Big hugs and catch up soon,my New Years resolution is to Blog more…and worry less:)

Well that’s it for another year. Suntan is fading fast, kids back to school and work to be done. Here at Locklin Towers we decided if you can’t beat them(or manage the childcare juggling) join them and so now reality has moved back in.

I am still working hard hard for my voiceover clients….I don’t mind spending hours in a dark studio now the weather outside matches it!

Freelancing is a funny old business, in this funny old business. Waiting to see if a few new pitches come to fruition…including  the banking sector (stop laughing at the back) and sport .

As a professionally-trained make up artist ( you never knew that did you!)  I have been working  on  a number of events, including weddings and shows. Love it….it’s a passion that has become a bit of a business.

Must go and wash my poofs(!)

The caption competition is gathering pace..with some really funny and a tad dodgy entries so far,have a read of some below and see if you can do better.

It seems to be the season for clients”pitching “for new business,I have been asked to present a few both on screen and helping prepare the content.Its always fun and exciting..a bit like doing your exams at school and then we now have the nailbiting wait to see if my clients get top marks:)

On a personal note..welcome to the school holiday juggle if your a parent.Always a fun few weeks……I find its enhanced if you manage to drop your Blackberry down the loo which contains your life including your new PIN for your bank card(I know I know….I have the memory of a NOTW executive)

Tuesday was the dreaded photoshoot…but what fun.

Matt Bates(6ft 2 blue eyed model..I know ladies a tough job but one of us had to do it!!) from Leeds based Model experience was fab along with Karl the photographer.Matt said I could be an OLDER model…bit like my car then.Past its prime,few lumps and dents and temprimental!
Him indoors(or last night locked outdoors in the rain!)said the photos make me look”far younger”than I do in the flesh.My ego feels like an old party baloon:(

However there is a great photo caption competition on the way on this Blog…will let you know when its up…..

Having a photoshoot for new shots for this website next week…is it too late for surgery and some very very hush hush plans afoot with a major media agency.I have not even been told the clients name yet as they may have to kill me if it gets out…

Where has April gone?,I seem to have been living out a suitcase with my lecture tour to Kenya and busy dashing round the country filming corporates.No rest for the wicked/deranged  freelancers in our industry.Thanks to everyone at the British Council for their amazing hospitality,to Jambo the giraffe for reducing a grown woman to an excited little girl,and to the E-Coli bug who flew back with me!
